
David Pelleg is a finance professor and expert witness with deep industry experience in structured finance, derivatives, hedge funds, alternative investments, and digital assets. Before entering academia and expert consulting, he held senior roles at UBS Warburg/SBC O’Connor, PlusFunds, Zurich Capital Markets, Banc of America Securities, and Ivy Asset Management. His industry experience includes options trading, hedge fund due diligence, manager selection, risk monitoring, structured lending, fund-linked derivatives, collateralized fund obligations, and structured-product distribution.
Through BlockDelta Consulting, Mr. Pelleg has provided expert analysis in matters involving CLOs, structured finance, Bitcoin-exchange litigation, derivative-linked exchange-traded notes, private-equity valuation, PPP/PPPLF transactions, and complex financial modeling. His work focuses on applying market experience and financial analysis to disputes involving securities, investment products, asset management, trading, valuation, and fiduciary issues.
Mr. Pelleg is an Associate Lecturer in Finance at Kent State University, where he has created and taught courses in derivatives, fixed income, risk management, financial modeling, and Bitcoin/digital asset capital markets. His academic role complements his consulting work by requiring him to present complex financial instruments, market structures, and quantitative concepts in a clear and practical way. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Analytical Finance and Statistics.
